Summer Programs

HHYF Summer Programs

Our programs feature a day full of horses and hands-on activity including driving a racehorse. Specific areas include learning about equine behavior and anatomy, equipment, and more! Participants will come away with horse dirt under their fingernails as well as a great introduction to harness racing’s excitement!

What to expect at a HHYF event?
  • You will learn about harnessing and hitching and all about Standardbreds!
  • You will have hands-on time with horses and hear from industry pros!
  • Most of all, you will have fun as well as lunch!
What to expect at HHYF Leadership Program?
  • Opportunities to learn about your areas of harness racing interest!
  • Time to spend with industry pros!
  • Lots of horse and barn time!
  • In depth looks at many aspects of horse racing!
  • Fun, friends, and food!

Anyone ages 11+ is welcome to apply but registration is limited – first-come, first-served.
All participants should wear long pants and solid toed shoes.
Covid policies will be in effect at all locations.

If registering for a camp, please be sure to upload the signed photo release, medical form, and liability waiver. These forms must be on file prior to check-in the morning of the camp.
